China has a growing list of sanctions against U.S. defense companies and sernior executives including Raytheon and BAE Systems in response to the decision of the U.S. Government and those companioes to sell weapons to Taiwan. In addition China’s Ministry of Commerce recently issued a strident response to the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security agianst the use of advanced computing integrated circuits made by Huawei. A spokesman for the Ministry said that such measures are unilateral bullying and protectionism. China passed a law that allows it to seize or freeze property or assets in China and to prohibit activities with the organizations inccluding denial of visas and deporting those persons.
The December 2025 China’s sanctions list specifically named Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, Boeingās St. Louis defense operations, L3Harris Maritime Services, Gibbs & Cox, Advanced Acoustic Concepts, VSE Corporation, Sierra Technical Services, Red Cat Holdings, Teal Drones, ReconCraft, High Point Aerotechnologies, Epirus, Dedrone, AreaāI, Blue Force Technologies, Dive Technologies, Vantor, Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Rhombus Power, and Lazarus Enterprises, among others. Chinaās Ministry of Commerce has also used its āunreliable entity listā and export control list to target additional US defense or defenseāadjacent firms (e.g., Huntington Ingalls, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Shield AI, Skydio, BRINC Drones, and others) for participating in arms sales or military technology cooperation with Taiwan.
