Johnson & Johnson secret recall of Motrin investigated

Congress is investigating the Johnson & Johnson company for secretly buying back Motrin tablets from stores in a phantom recall of defective products without publicly notifying the buying public. The children’s medicines were pulled after FDA inspectors found defective manufacturing process, bacterial contamiantion of raw materials. Rather than announcing the recall, the drug company hired contractors to sneak into stores to purchase the products as if they were legitimate customers. There are also indications that the company was planning a larger phantom recall of children’s tylenol.
