Semiconductor chip maker Nvidia has new and aggressive plans to make new made in America supercomputers initially through contract manufacturers in Texas. spending on this new project is expected to exceed $500 billion. Nvidia’s projections are for hundreds of thousands of new jobs and has plans for AI projects with Foxconn and Wistron also in Texas.
It plans to construct new facilities in Texas and will produce its most advanced chips at a facility in Ariuzona which is operated by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co plant there.
