White House considering cutting China tariffs to de-escalate tensions

According to an exclusive artickle released by the Wall Street Journal, the White House is presently considering cutting its steep tariffs on Chinese imports in some cases by half, according to “people familiar with the matter.” The article also says that the final decision hasn’t been made quite yet but it also says that one senior White House official said the China tariffs were likely to come down 50% to 65%.

President Trump said yesterday that he was willing to cut tariffs on Chinese goods but that it won’t be zero.
