Harvard scandal: ex-manager of Harvard Med School morgue arrested on fed charges of stealing cadaver remains and selling them to buyers

According to various reports, the former manager of the morgue at Harvard Medical school was arrested on federal charges that he and several others conspired to steal and sell human body parts that had been donated to the school for research and education. Cedric Lodge, who was terminated from his job in May is alleged to have spent years selling body parts that were supposed to be cremated.

According to press reports, human cadavers used to teach students at Harvard Medical school are donated to the Anatomical Gifts Program and when the school is done using them, the remains are supposed to be cremated or returned to the donor family for cemetery burial. It is unclear at this time how the alleged plot was uncovered.
