LAWYER TIED TO GALLEON INSIDER TRADING SENTENCED TO 36 MONTHS IN PRISON

Jason Goldfarb, a lawyer, who passed info about mergers and acquisitions to ex Galleon Group trader Zvi Goffer was sentenced to three years in prison yesterday. Goldfarb, 33 pleaded guilty to passing information from attorneys two attorneys at Boston based Ropes & Gray LLP about transactions he was working on. One was his former college roomate Arthur Citullo. The scheme went on for more than a year and involved millions in profits.
